Although Mendoza completed his college football career at the University of Indiana, he began his colligate career at California Berkley. The ability he displayed during his early years helped him catch the attention of coach Curt Cignetti. As a result of his transfer, Indiana won its first national championship in its history.
Now that graduation season is upon us, and Mendoza has an academic affiliation with Cal. As a result, Mendoza had the opportunity to complete his studies in Berkley this weekend. In his graduation ceremony, he walked with his former classmates and accepted his diploma from the university.
