Stellar seasons by area players were recognized by the Ohio High School Softball Coaches Association recently.
Sheridan senior Megan Ranck, a pitcher, was named first-team All-Ohio after helping lead the Generals to second straight Division III district final.

Ranck, who was 17-6 with a 1.85 ERA with only 18 walks, was the only first-team pick from the Southeast District. She also hit .467 with six homers and a team-high 30 RBIs.
Ranck's sophomore teammate, catcher Avery Hall. was an honorable mention pick after hitting .420 with seven homers, 22 RBIs and 22 steals. Tri-Valley's Alivia Reffit was also honorable mention after hitting .436 with a .667 slugging percentage, 12 extra-base hits and 21 RBIs.
Dover's Kara Lint, a pitcher destined for Ohio University, was the lone first-team East District selection.
In Division IV, John Glenn sophomore pitcher Kendall Snider was a first-team selection from the East District after spearheading the Muskies' regional final efforts.

Snider was 18-4 with 334 strikeouts in 156 innings; she also hit seven homers and batted .407.
Meanwhile, Ridgewood senior Addison Lahmers was an honorable mention pick in Division V and Crooksville sophomore Dalena Rollison an honorable mention in Division VI. Both repeated as All-Ohio.
Rollson hit .391 with seven homers, 16 extra-base hits and a 1.83 OPS.
