Rangers at Diamondbacks updates. Surprise veteran rejoins roster

Diamondbacks right-hander Brandon Pfaadt felt the heavy rubber of the base up against the heel of his foot, so when he was ruled to have been off of the base in the top of the fifth inning, he wasted little time signaling to his dugout to challenge the call.

As it turned out, replay officials did not agree, and the call in the top of the fifth inning turned out to be a pivotal one, contributing to the Diamondbacks' 6-2 loss to the Texas Rangers on Saturday night, Sept. 12, at Chase Field.
