Some of the quarterbacks in the AFC East are a mystery, with several teams starting over this season with new QBs.

So who is the best in the division? Well, for most, it's quite obvious, but it's numbers two through four of this list that might surprise you.

Here is the list of the best QB's in the AFC East.

1. Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills

It was quite obvious who was going to be No. 1 on this list. Although Josh Allen hasn't gone to a Super Bowl yet, he has an MVP award to his name and two AFC Championship appearances. Last season, Allen passed for over 3600 yards, 25 touchdowns, and he also rushed for 579 yards and 14 rushing touchdowns. His numbers were a little bit down from his MVP season, but not by much. He is still one of the top five QBs in the league.

2. Drake Maye, New England Patriots

You can argue that Drake Maye deserves to be at the top of this list, and you wouldn't be wrong. Maye put up better numbers than Josh Allen, and he took his team to the Super Bowl as a second-year starter. In his second season with the Pats, he passed for over 4300 yards, 31 touchdowns, and had a 113. 5 passer rating. He also rushed for 450 yards and one touchdown. The question is, can he pull it off again in his third season, or was it a fluke?

3. Malik Willis, Miami Dolphins

Now hear me out: there is a reason why I put Malik Willis at third. I know, as a starter for the Tennessee Titans, he wasn't that impressive, but that all changed when he had to start for Jordan Love briefly in Green Bay. Willis's game seemed to improve. In four starts for the Packers, Willis was 30-for-35 for 422 yards and three touchdowns. He also rushed for 123 yards and two rushing touchdowns, which explains why the Miami Dolphins decided to dump their old starter and sign Willis. We will see if he was worth it.

4. Geno Smith, New York Jets

The Jets almost lost Geno Smith because of a domestic violence dispute, but it was dismissed, and now Smith and the Jets can just concentrate on football. Smith didn't have a great year for the Las Vegas Raiders in 2026, although he passed for over 3,000 yards and 19 touchdowns; he also threw a league-high 17 interceptions. The Jets are hoping for 2024 Geno Smith. That year, he threw for over 4,300 yards and 21 touchdowns, and he rushed for 272 yards and two touchdowns. If Smith can put up those numbers again, the Jets may make some noise this year.
