Where do you start with Reading's 2025/26 season? Well, I didn't miss it when it finished, nor during the summer months, and certainly not now.

It really was a boring, tedious, uninspiring damp squib of a season, wasn't it? And if there's any one thing that'll jump out for many supporters about last season, it was the lack of entertainment on offer. Going to Reading matches felt more like a weekly chore than the escapism football is supposed to be.
