Real Madrid looking to extend Arda Güler’s contract -report

Real Madrid have noticed Arda Güler's progress and want to reward that with a contract extension which would come with a significant salary raise for the Turkish player, according to a report published on AS today. Güler's current deal expires in 2029 but he's still earning the same salary he was making when he signed his first contract with the club, which doesn't reflect his current role within the team but also his reputation in world football.

Güler has established himself as an undisputed starter for Real Madrid, and while it's true that there are some questions about his role, mainly after the club decided to spend €130 million on Yan Diomande, it's very clear that Los Blancos need Güler on the field to be at their best.

It makes a lot of sense for Real Madrid to extend Güler's contract now rather than waiting some more time, as that would give the club total control over the player's future.
