HARRIS, Mich. (WFRV) — After losing in a playoff last week, Kaleiya Romero would not be denied this time: securing her first ever professional win on the Epson Tour.

Romero forced a playoff with Liqi Zeng after making a birdie on the 18th hole par-4, and then followed it up by making an eagle to clinch the win.

“To finally get a win… it was just such a sigh of relief,” Romero said.

Even better, Romero’s caddy is her boyfriend Ty Bauge (ironically pronounced ‘bogey’) who told Local 5 Sports’ he felt like he was more nervous than she was walking up 18 for the second time.

“I don’t know if she really expected to be doing this, but here she is doing it and I’m just so proud of her,” Bauge said.
