Red Wings Fall To Penguins On Draper Own Goal

DETROIT — One night, you score the shootout winner for the Detroit Red Wings, and you're the hero. The next night, you accidentally kick the puck past your own goalie for the Pittsburgh Penguins' game-winning goal.

That was Kienan Draper's reality. The son of Red Wings assistant GM and director of amateur scouting Kris Draper was the hero of Saturday's 4-3 shootout win over Dallas. Sunday, a centering pass from Pittsburgh's Jordan Charron banked off Draper's skates past Wings goalie Michal Orsulak, giving the Penguins a 4-3 victory over the Detroit rookies.
