Renegades win 18U Fastpitch World Midwest title

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — The South Dakota Renegades defeated the Hot Shots 2-0 on Sunday morning for the Fastpitch World Midwest championship.

The Renegades took down the Hot Shots 5-2 in the semifinal on Saturday evening but the Hot Shots advanced through the loser's bracket to meet the Renegades in the title game on Sunday. It took until the bottom of the third for scoring to get going with an RBI single from Paige Stensaas. Hayden Kok's line drive double added an insurance run in the fourth to seal the Renegades win.
