Report: Patriots G Mike Onwenu has a broken ankle

The Patriots got their first win of the season on Sunday, but they lost a starting offensive lineman.

Right guard Mike Onwenu had to be carted off during the game and was ruled out with an ankle injury. Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports that Onwenu's ankle is broken and confirmation of that injury would lead to a long absence from the lineup.
