Rock Rapids’ Vander Zee makes game-winning catch for Iowa

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) --- Rock Rapids native Reece Vander Zee hauled in the catch of the day to propel Iowa to a 20-19 victory over Michigan on Saturday afternoon at Michigan Stadium.

Trailing 19-14 with less than two minutes remaining, the Hawkeyes marched 91 yards down the field. Quarterback Hank Brown connected with the Central Lyon/George-Little Rock High School graduate on a last-ditch effort as time expired, and Vander Zee made the game-winning grab in the end zone.
