Rockets re-sign 24-year-old forward Isaiah Crawford

After a strong showing at the NBA’s 2026 summer league in Las Vegas, the Houston Rockets announced Wednesday that Isaiah Crawford was re-signed by the team.

A 6-foot-6 forward with shooting potential on offense and considerable versatility on defense, Crawford is now 24 years old.

From the team’s announcement:

Crawford appeared in 14 games as a two-way player for the Rockets in 2025-26, averaging 11.0 points, 6.3 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.2 blocks per 36 minutes played. He recorded career highs of 11 points and 6 rebounds in the season finale versus Memphis on April 12.

In 20 games while transferred to the Rockets’ G League affiliate, Rio Grande Valley, Crawford averaged 19.0 points, 7.6 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 2.1 steals while shooting 51.5% from the floor and 39.2% from 3-point range.

Crawford was eligible for the 2024 NBA draft following his fifth-year senior season at Louisiana Tech. He was a two-way player for Sacramento in 2024-25 and helped its G League affiliate, Stockton, win the championship.

Financial details were not disclosed, though a team source told Rockets Wire that the contract is not yet guaranteed. If a standard roster spot is needed at a later date, Crawford — who is entering his third NBA season — does have remaining two-way eligibility.

But should Crawford’s strong offseason continue and extend into training camp, it’s certainly plausible that Crawford winds up on a standard deal with the 2026-27 Rockets.

Training camp opens in late September.
