The 2026 World Cup halftime show was chock full of stars from off the pitch, but on it, too.

Madonna, BTS, Shakira and Justin Bieber had already been announced as the headliners of the World Cup's first ever halftime show between action in the final match on Sunday, July 19. But football traditionalists who were annoyed at the idea of the very American festivity might have cracked a smile when they saw two legends open the show with Madonna.
