Rumour Mongering: Liverpool Target Frankfurt Sporting Director

With Richard Hughes officially out at Liverpool, many will expect a quick appointment of his successor given his departure has been known going back at least to the end of last season. However, with the club not immediately announcing a new sporting director, there's some room for speculation and rumour mongering.

The latest out of Germany has the Reds looking at Eintracht Frankfurt sporting director Markus Krosche as a top option. The 45-year-old Krosche is under contract with the Bundesliga side until 2028 but is believed to have a release clause allowing him to join a handful of top European clubs—including Liverpool—for around €3M.
