Saints waive rookie defensive tackle from IR with injury settlement
The New Orleans Saints have moved on from young defensive tackle Keeshawn Silver. New Orleans waived Silver from injured reserve with an injury settlement on Monday, according to the NFL's transaction wire. The move allows Silver to become a free agent once the settlement terms are satisfied, rather than remaining on the Saints' injured reserve list.
Waiving Silver with an injury settlement clears his spot from the Saints' injured reserve, which has added several names over the past couple of weeks: Bryan Bresee (ACL) and Dillon Radunz (ACL). It also gives the former North Carolina, Kentucky, and USC defensive tackle an opportunity to continue his career elsewhere once healthy.
