Sandro Wagner confirmed as new Hannover 96 coach

Hannover 96 have confirmed the appointment of Sandro Wagner as their new head coach.

The former Germany assistant and Augsburg head coach has signed a two-year deal with the 2. Bundesliga club.

"Following the decision to change coaches last weekend, it was important to us to take the necessary time to arrange the succession. We carefully considered who would fit us and what that person would need to bring, both in the current situation and, of course, in the longer term," said Hannover 96 sporting managing director Jonas Boldt.
