Scattered Downpours Arrive this Evening, Flooding Risks this Weekend

Wildfire smoke from Canada will keep conditions hazy today, but no air quality alerts have been issued for our forecast region. The evening will present a few opportunities for isolated showers and storms driven by afternoon instability. Tonight's lows will be in the upper 60s.
Tomorrow brings our next risk for flooding with several rounds of heavy rainfall. A cold front is approaching from the west, bringing these showers and storms. Heavier showers will keep temperatures in the low 80s.
Sunday keeps the thunderstorms around with an isolated risk for localized high water. Temperatures will once again stay in the low 80s due to our passing front. Showers and thunderstorms will mostly be in the morning. High pressure seeks to move in behind this front to clear us out by the late night.

Monday starts off nice and calm. However, as our high pressure cell loses influence over our region, we will see a few scattered showers and thunderstorms pop up during the afternoon. Highs will stay in the low 80s.
Tuesday brings another cold front to the region. Thunderstorms can be expected by the afternoon and evening. Strong wind gusts will be the primary threat, but heavy rainfall can also be expected. Temperatures will rise from the upper 60s to the low 80s.
Looking ahead, conditions clear out as temperatures stay near 80.
