School leaders mourn passing of former Knox Central basketball coach

BARBOURVILLE, Ky. (FOX 56) — Members of Knox and Wayne County school districts made the heartbreaking announcement on Monday that a beloved basketball coach had died.

On Sept. 7, Knox Central High School wrote on Facebook that officials were deeply saddened by the passing of Mitchell Madden, who spent two seasons guiding the Panthers to a 43-18 record.
