Senior night spark

Jun. 30—Creston's three seniors made the most of their senior night by combining for seven hits, four runs scored and five RBIs in an 8-7 home victory over Clarinda Thursday night.

The big blow was Jaycee Hanson's three-run home run as part of a four-run response in the bottom of the fifth inning after Clarinda had scored five times in the top half of the frame to jump ahead, 5-3. Hanson also doubled in the game and finished with five RBIs. The towering shot over the left field fence was her fourth homer of the season.
