Krahenbuhl also shared that another one of her horses, Foxy, was nearly injured during the incident but was not harmed.
Barrel racer Arielle Phillips also addressed the situation publicly, stating that her mare, Detail, was the second horse involved. According to Phillips, she had been with the mare shortly before the incident and later returned to find Detail loose and bleeding. Phillips said the attending veterinarian determined the injuries appeared consistent with stab wounds. Detail received treatment and was stitched up at the stall.
Keira Weisbart stated on social media that her horse, Rocket, sustained three stab wounds and several additional attempted wounds during an incident that reportedly occurred early Saturday morning at the South Point during the NBHA Professional's Choice Vegas Super Show. According to Weisbart, Rocket received veterinary treatment, including stitches, and is expected to make a full recovery.

She further shared that a suspect is reportedly in custody and extended her thoughts and prayers to the owners of the other horses involved.
The 2026 NBHA Professional's Choice Vegas Super Show is scheduled to continue through Sunday, May 31, at the South Point Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Investigators later determined that three horses had been intentionally injured with a sharp object, believed to be a knife, according to a department news release.
According to Krahenbuhl, Sully is being monitored daily by Dr. Rodriguez as he recovers from multiple stab wounds. Ultrasound imaging revealed how close the injuries came to vital structures, including his jugular vein, major joints, and cervical spine. Veterinarians believe the injuries could have been fatal or career ending, making his recovery especially remarkable.
Sully faces a lengthy rehabilitation process, with riding likely off the table for at least two months. In the meantime, he will undergo hand walking and rehabilitation exercises to aid his recovery. Krahenbuhl said she hopes to reward Sully with a summer in a Utah pasture once he is fully healed and thanked supporters for their continued messages and prayers.

Phillips described the difficulty of imagining her horse, known for her trusting nature, being attacked alone in her stall and the fear she likely endured during the incident.
Phillips also shared additional details about the timeline of the attack, alleging that Sully and Rocket had been injured before Detail was targeted. She said the suspect was seen multiple times in the barn area before the attack and later appeared alongside those caring for the injured horses while claiming concern for their condition.
According to veterinarians, Detail suffered the most severe injuries of the three horses.
