Spain's Crown Princess Leonor has completed paratrooper training at the Méndez Parada Military Parachuting School at the Alcantarilla Air Base in Murcia region, the Royal Household announced in Madrid on Tuesday.

Leonor, 20, has completed several jumps, including a night jump in May, according to media reports.

At the end of the course, the heir to the throne received her diploma and the 'Cazador Paracaidista' badge alongside around 50 fellow cadets. The course forms part of Leonor's military training at the General Academy of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AGA) in Murcia, where she is currently in her third and final year of officer training.

The training will prepare Leonor for her future role as Commander-in-Chief of the Spanish Armed Forces.

The crown princess - the daughter of King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia - began her military career at the Army Academy in Zaragoza. She then undertook a training voyage lasting several months with the Navy on the training ship Juan Sebastián El Cano.

She has been stationed with the Air Force since last September and has since completed her first solo flight.

Although Leonor is considered dreamy and somewhat shy, she is also described as level-headed, prudent, determined and well-organized.

She has passed survival training and is physically very fit, according to Spanish media reports citing military superiors.
