The Pittsburgh Steelers have finally done it: the playing surface at Acrisure Stadium has received a huge upgrade!

Acrisure Stadium's field conditions have long been the subject of controversy, with players suffering injuries and voicing their concerns to the NFLPA about the situation.

Back in April, Steelers president Art Rooney II confirmed that Acrisure Stadium was set to receive a playing surface upgrade and that it would be switched to Tahoma 31 Bermudagrass from Kentucky bluegrass. Rooney claimed it had "been used in some other stadiums around the country with success."

It remains to be seen how the new surface will hold up with the Pittsburgh Panthers still hosting games at Acrisure Stadium, but it's a welcome upgrade nonetheless.
