The Pittsburgh Steelers have a four-man quarterback room dilemma that will more than likely leave one signal-caller off the roster. And the solution couldn't be more obvious.

Aaron Rodgers and Drew Allar are near locks to make the 53-man roster, which leaves either Mason Rudolph or Will Howard on the outside looking in. Some have argued Rudolph is more important to what Pittsburgh is hoping to do in 2026, but cutting Howard would be a mistake.

Yes, Rudolph has proven himself to be a capable backup. But Steelers fans have seen his ceiling, while Howard is still extremely young and will likely compete with Allar for the starting job in 2027.

Cutting Howard just to stash him on the practice squad is playing with fire, and considering the Steelers' inability to find a long-term successor to Ben Roethlisberger, it's a risk the team can't afford to take.
