SWB’s Beck named Pitcher of the Year

MOOSIC, PA (WBRE/WYOU)— Scranton/Wilkes-Barre starting pitcher Brendan Beck is the 2026 MiLB International League Pitcher of the Year. The honor was announced over the weekend at the MiLB Awards Ceremonies. Alongside Beck, SWB top prospect Elmer Rodriguez was also named to the MiLB All-Star team.

Beck led the International League this season in ERA, posting a 2.93 for the year. The SWB ace finished with year 10-2, with 151 strikeouts in 135.2 innings pitched. Beck's 2026 season included league top five rankings in several statical categories. Along with wins, ERA, and strikeouts Beck was top five in average against, with hitters posting a .210 average, and overall winning percentage, ended 2026 an .833 mark.
