Takumu Kawamura returns to Japan
Midfielder heading to homeland after two years in Salzburg
Takumu Kawamura is returning to his native Japan and will once again play for first-division club Sanfrecce Hiroshima.
The 26-year-old Japanese midfielder joined Salzburg from there in the summer of 2024. Due to several injuries, Kawamura only managed to play eight matches in the following two seasons.
Takumu Kawamura had a difficult time with us due to various circumstances and unfortunately saw very little playing time. He completed the current pre-season training without any problems and is now returning to his former club in good physical condition. We wish him all the best, good health, and every success!
