Team Blue wins high school football senior bowl
BROOKINGS, S.D. (KELO) — The South Dakota Football Coaches Association hosted the 2026 High School Senior Bowl in Brookings on Saturday morning.
Eighty seniors from across the state were split into two teams where Blue took down Red 14-8.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementJefferson’s Brody Jacobson was named the MVP with two tackles, an interception, and two pass breakups. Spearfish’s Laythan Lucas earned Defensive Most Valuable Player honors for a two interceptions, one being a 55-yard pick-six, and four tackles. Jesiah Baum of Warner posted 96-yards receiving which earned him Offensive Most Valuable Player.
