Texas A&M freshmen running backs expected play vs. Kentucky

Before Texas A&M kicks off Week 3 of the 2026 season against Kentucky on Saturday afternoon, the latest injury report lists sophomore running back Jamarion Morrow and redshirt sophomore wide receiver Ashton Bethel-Roman as "doubtful" for the matchup, with a 25% chance of suiting up.

Potentially losing Bethel-Roman for a game isn't the end of the world, given the depth at wide receiver, but if Jamarion Morrow does not play on Saturday, junior RB Rueben Owens will likely retain his starting job, while freshmen backs KJ Edwards and Carsyn Baker are fully expected to receive more snaps, which this writer has been clamoring for since the season opener.
