Texas-Ex Gorzny wins first ever U.S. Open match

AUSTIN (KXAN) -- Just months after ending his career at Texas, Sebastian Gorzny won his 1st round match in dramatic five-set fashion (3-6, 6-3, 3-6, 6-3, 7-6) over Raphael Collignon of Belgium. The match took a total of four hours over two days, starting Sunday but was suspended because of rain and ended on Monday afternoon.

Gorzny was able to erase four match points in the fourth set to force a fifth and deciding set. Gorzny forced a fifth set tie-breaker and had to dodge a 5th match point before winning on a Collignon double fault.
