Texas Longhorns projected to land several elite recruits

The 2028 recruiting cycle has a long way to go before it's finalized. However, the Texas Longhorns are making waves in the class. They already have four-star quarterback Neimann Lawrence committed, and a handful more could be joining him at some point.

According to Sam Spiegelman of Rivals, Texas is favored to land five blue-chip recruits in 2028, and they'll be in Austin for their game against Ohio State this Saturday.

"I have RPM forecasts for Texas to eventually land commitments from four-star OT Jai Knight, Rivals300 LB Deshawn Simmons, four-star WR Peyton Smith, blue-chip ATH CJ Whaley, and blue-chip RB Micah Rhodes. Rhodes could have a decision made before the end of the year, and I am bullish on Texas' standing in that one." - Rivals analyst Sam Spiegelman
