What time does the Brazil v Japan game start tonight?
Not sure who I want to win which is strange for me because I usually go for Brazil no matter how good they are but Japan have a really good team of skill and pace so I’m expecting a good game with a few goals.
I’ll just go for the best team on the night!
2 Posted 29/06/2026 at 17:49:52
1800 Dave ie ten mins
3 Posted 29/06/2026 at 18:05:17
Japan all day long. Love watching them play.
This Brazil team is not the Brazil team of olden days but I bet they win.
4 Posted 29/06/2026 at 18:16:41
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementI dropped some shopping of at my 90 year old mother in laws today and the first thing she said to me was she hoped Japan get beat.
She has no interest in football, but when it looked at the TV she was watching an afternoon re-run of Tenko!
5 Posted 29/06/2026 at 18:20:49
Tora! Tora! Tora!
6 Posted 29/06/2026 at 18:22:59
Nice! Telemundo foregoes the revenue and stays with the stadium. Okay, a quick border ad, no problema.
7 Posted 29/06/2026 at 18:27:53
Get to Japan!!!
8 Posted 29/06/2026 at 18:28:25
Banzai!
9 Posted 29/06/2026 at 18:28:39
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementAnd the Japanese crowd goes on the counterattack! Gooooool!
Love those goals that roll in from distance.
10 Posted 29/06/2026 at 18:29:23
GET IN!
11 Posted 29/06/2026 at 18:29:39
Casemiro totally exposed
12 Posted 29/06/2026 at 18:30:24
Shocking defending by Gabriel
13 Posted 29/06/2026 at 18:32:02
Daisy cutter. Great strike
14 Posted 29/06/2026 at 18:34:32
I have Japan to win 2-1 lol !! c'mon you blues
15 Posted 29/06/2026 at 18:35:06
Take away Vinny JR and Brazil are a top 6 Prem team
16 Posted 29/06/2026 at 18:38:30
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementBrazil does not look like they have the speed or guile to break them down. They may need a mistake to get going.
17 Posted 29/06/2026 at 18:40:15
Casemiro needs subbing Crosby Carlo
18 Posted 29/06/2026 at 18:42:40
Although Japan have limited possession, they are very clever with it.
Brazil look to be relying on individual brilliance.
19 Posted 29/06/2026 at 18:51:05
Japan has some impressive ways of supporting the players coming back into the middle from the forward lines.
They always have an outlet to run into space left by man coverage.
20 Posted 29/06/2026 at 18:59:37
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementJapan are such a tidy team, tidy shape, not wasteful, purpose and choice in everything they do.
Happy to surrender some possesion, because when they turn it over they act instantly as a team.
This level of organisation and understanding is a joy to watch.
21 Posted 29/06/2026 at 19:00:32
Get in Japan not get to Japan
22 Posted 29/06/2026 at 19:01:20
How Joao Pedro is not in this squad makes no sense
23 Posted 29/06/2026 at 19:04:13
Good point. And I notice Tomiyasu healed up, would have taken him.
Can Endrick be the spark?
24 Posted 29/06/2026 at 19:11:20
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementLee Dixon talks wham most of the time but he's right about Brazil being awful out of possession
25 Posted 29/06/2026 at 19:14:02
That was exciting.
26 Posted 29/06/2026 at 19:14:41
Lee Dixon. More boring than Father Austin Purcell from Father Ted. What's you favourite humming noise Ted ? Mines Mmmmmm or sometimes mmmm. Fucks sake Lee, shut the fuck up
27 Posted 29/06/2026 at 19:16:13
Carlo has whipped them into action!
Brilliant far-post header. No way you are defending that!
28 Posted 29/06/2026 at 19:18:39
Tomiyasu got scorched.
That look on Suzuki's face was priceless.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisement29 Posted 29/06/2026 at 19:18:45
Casemiro can hardly run but he's great in the air.
Japan so lucky not to be behind. Great save!
30 Posted 29/06/2026 at 19:30:00
Carlo has been playing Fifa Connect 26 on his whiteboard and is ready for the masterstroke!
31 Posted 29/06/2026 at 19:31:33
Mark 26, Dixon has been on ITV for years, I don't know how he gets away with it.
I have never ever heard anyone saying Dixon is a decent pundit, he is a boring cunt.
32 Posted 29/06/2026 at 19:52:26
At last a proper World Cup tussle
33 Posted 29/06/2026 at 19:54:02
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementJeff, don't sit on the fence, say what you think ha ha. Could not agree more, a truly dreadful boring co-commentator
34 Posted 29/06/2026 at 19:56:42
Fuck me. They've won it
35 Posted 29/06/2026 at 19:57:54
Japan couldn't live with Brazil second half.
Deserve this now.
36 Posted 29/06/2026 at 19:59:50
The Leeds player Tanaka completely funked up
37 Posted 29/06/2026 at 20:02:13
38 Posted 29/06/2026 at 20:02:40
Perhaps Carlo really is a magician after all!
Just not with us...
39 Posted 29/06/2026 at 20:03:27
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementPleasure to watch that.
Only the second full game I've watched up to now.
40 Posted 29/06/2026 at 20:03:48
He was dressed a bit like a magician
41 Posted 29/06/2026 at 20:12:00
Tough on Japan, not a good Brazilian team, Rayan very poor, and leaving Richarlison and Pedro at home and bringing Neymar, who's not match fit, a big call by Carlo. If they get through and England in the last eight, that's as far as they'll go.
42 Posted 29/06/2026 at 20:12:25
That was a decent match. Japan could not create anything once Doan was subbed. Still like them though.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisement43 Posted 29/06/2026 at 20:27:14
I thought Japan deserved to go off at half time ahead, their performance was well described by Andrew @ (20) but in the second half they were second best for most of the time although I was still fearful for Brazil when Japan broke away two or three times but in the end they were well worth their victory even if it was very late.
They are still in it and with a player like Vinny Jnr. they could progress further relying on his individual brilliance.
I enjoyed that game well worth watching and hopefully we see a few more proper football matches in the next couple of weeks.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisement44 Posted 29/06/2026 at 20:31:34
I usually really enjoy watching Japan, but I wasn’t that impressed with them today, simply because I didn’t think that really tried to play close enough to each other imo.
It’s a gruelling tournament, I expect the stronger nations to keep going whereas I’m not sure the smaller nations that have been doing really well, have got enough in their squads to sustain playing at this level, now we have reached the knockout stages and the competition begins to intensify?
45 Posted 29/06/2026 at 21:53:57
Livin on a Prayer in these hydration breaks. Every freaking time.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisement46 Posted 29/06/2026 at 22:00:25
Seriously, who's arsed about the World Cup??
Our so-called manager apparently, hopefully he's in discussions with the Scottish FA. The World Cup has been turned into the WWE.
47 Posted 29/06/2026 at 22:21:57
Living On A Prayer...
Soul-destroying American poodle rock.
48 Posted 29/06/2026 at 22:24:22
Germany doing their best impression of England.
Paraguay defending superbly. Almiron, the human tadpole, has been brilliant.
Germans will probably spawn it 2nd half.
49 Posted 29/06/2026 at 23:10:11
Is he really human, Liam?
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisement50 Posted 29/06/2026 at 23:28:33
Part man part polliwog
51 Posted 29/06/2026 at 23:43:36
That sucked.
Fuck, I have to watch Nagelsman again. He did slightly extend the arm into the keeper
Ha! Teutonic titty-boys, fuck off.

53 Posted 29/06/2026 at 23:47:33

Pennos it is - I fancy the Paraguay keeper to make a name for himself.
55 Posted 29/06/2026 at 00:11:49
Who the fuck is this Darren fella talking about decisions on BBC commentary ?...sounds like Dudley Moore.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisement56 Posted 29/06/2026 at 00:12:58
Nah, the Germans are very efficient when it comes to penalties.
57 Posted 29/06/2026 at 00:15:08
Watch were the none kicking foot is facing when its planted prior to kicking, it's always a pointer to where the ball is going.
58 Posted 29/06/2026 at 00:15:17
You know the Paraguenos anticipated this though.
59 Posted 29/06/2026 at 00:16:49
60 Posted 29/06/2026 at 00:17:35
61 Posted 29/06/2026 at 00:22:40
Hell yeah! You could hear the Germans gasp at the place I am watching.

74 Posted 29/06/2026 at 00:29:20
Pilsen Dale - really refreshing
75 Posted 29/06/2026 at 00:31:08
76 Posted 29/06/2026 at 00:31:45
Really enjoyed the Colombia v Portugal game the other night.
More threat from South America than just Brazil and Argentina this time around?
Vamos los Cafeteros!
77 Posted 29/06/2026 at 00:32:15
Best match yet to come in 90 mins
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisement78 Posted 29/06/2026 at 00:32:20
Germany worse than England...made they're out tho.
79 Posted 29/06/2026 at 00:35:21
Can definitely see England losing to Senegal and if they sneak through Mexico at the Azteca and if they sneak through that Brazil most likely in the QF and if they sneak through that Argentina most likely in SF
80 Posted 29/06/2026 at 00:35:48

Good material as usual Mr. Kossoff!
86 Posted 30/06/2026 at 01:19:45
Hi Dale, hope you are well.
87 Posted 30/06/2026 at 01:29:03
Come on Morocco. Get rid of gobshite Koeman, Saint Virgil the Cheat and the other orange red shite.
88 Posted 30/06/2026 at 01:30:52
Ben Godfrey joins Rangers LOL
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisement89 Posted 30/06/2026 at 02:05:42
Well, this is looking like a proper match early on.
90 Posted 30/06/2026 at 02:11:17
The Athletic reports us closing on a permanent deal for Tyrique George.
91 Posted 30/06/2026 at 02:28:45
Didn't Gakpo's partner lose her unborn son a few days ago? Brave of him/her/them to be playing.
92 Posted 30/06/2026 at 02:29:16
HOW MANY FUCKING TIMES ARE WE/AM I GOING TO BE TOLD THAT THE US PLAY ON WEDNESDAY!!!!
At least tomorrow it will be tomorrow not fecking Wednesday.
93 Posted 30/06/2026 at 02:29:34
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementI don't know why, but I'm having a bad reaction to seeing the Dutch in cowboy hats
94 Posted 30/06/2026 at 02:31:11
There's absolutely no way around it Dale. With very few exceptions that I'm struggling to think of the Dutch are not cool.
95 Posted 30/06/2026 at 02:40:15
I would hope to see van Hecke not coming back on for a concussion sub. But they won't do it will they? Madness.
96 Posted 30/06/2026 at 02:41:12
Oh fuck, what is this match momentum graph shit? Does any other country try to go fucking Bloomberg on football like that?
97 Posted 30/06/2026 at 02:43:50
And Dale, what exactly is Team A possession, Team B possession, and then fecking contest possession?
And, while we''re at it: 'superiour player'???!!!!
98 Posted 30/06/2026 at 02:46:44
That Guano who plays for the Red Shite is bird shite
99 Posted 30/06/2026 at 02:46:58
Love watching Morocco.
Saibari in midfield - what a player.
100 Posted 30/06/2026 at 02:50:13
Me too Steve, but they need to step up next half or is it quarter?
Saibari had to score there.
101 Posted 30/06/2026 at 02:51:08
The young lad in midfield, Bouaddi, has been one of the best players in the tournament. Only 18.
102 Posted 30/06/2026 at 02:52:46
He'll be playing at Hill Dickinson in August Liam.
103 Posted 30/06/2026 at 02:53:32
Plenty here for Moyes to erm 'scout' and put on his list - pencil and paper only.
104 Posted 30/06/2026 at 02:54:01
Supreme player, Paul. Better?
105 Posted 30/06/2026 at 02:55:21
I quite like sovereign Dale.
106 Posted 30/06/2026 at 02:57:38
Ooh, break out the sash and crown.
107 Posted 30/06/2026 at 03:07:39
The Germans and the Dutch in one day. Am I asking for too much?
108 Posted 30/06/2026 at 03:19:46
Ouahbi has a football wizard's knowledge of positioning.
109 Posted 30/06/2026 at 03:20:00
What a moment. Two of the four fastest players in the world, Hakimi and Van de Ven, in a breakaway race. VDV makes the tackle. And Hakimi comes up with his hand, congratulating VDV for a play probably nobody else could have made.
Class.
110 Posted 30/06/2026 at 03:20:03
The Morocco players are unbelievably technical on the ball. Just lack.a cutting edge.
111 Posted 30/06/2026 at 03:29:13
You got work later on Liam?
112 Posted 30/06/2026 at 03:30:39
I went to Morocco a few years back and from 6/7 in the morning there were literally hundreds of young kids on the beach playing football.
Organised/coached sessions. Small pitches. No goals. The ball never went in the air. Just technique and moving the ball. These kids were about 8-10 years old.
113 Posted 30/06/2026 at 03:30:47
Good eye Mike, I missed that. That was a manly tackle by Van de Ven.
114 Posted 30/06/2026 at 03:32:20
No got loads of holidays to take.
115 Posted 30/06/2026 at 03:32:46
The Dutch on the break
116 Posted 30/06/2026 at 03:33:50
Nice Liam but that goal feck
117 Posted 30/06/2026 at 03:36:42
Gakpo breaks down in tears as he scores. Overwhelming of course.
That's a wonderful moment.
118 Posted 30/06/2026 at 03:51:30
Fuck yes Get in
119 Posted 30/06/2026 at 03:52:21
120 Posted 30/06/2026 at 03:52:22
All that lovely possession based dominance and they score with a header from a cross. Brilliant
121 Posted 30/06/2026 at 03:52:59
Fuckin Talbi! Brilliant delivery. Issa makes up for not being alert on the first goal.
122 Posted 30/06/2026 at 03:54:13
Virgil standing watching as Morocco score a header
123 Posted 30/06/2026 at 03:56:53
124 Posted 30/06/2026 at 03:58:37
Ace, more footy.
125 Posted 30/06/2026 at 04:09:24
Remarkable save.
126 Posted 30/06/2026 at 04:20:03
The Dutch playing not to lose; Morocco playing to win
127 Posted 30/06/2026 at 04:27:09
Is there a bigger incentive than Canada in the 16?
128 Posted 30/06/2026 at 04:28:00
No Reijnders. WTF Koeman!?!
129 Posted 30/06/2026 at 04:29:55
Kluivert for possible penalties?
130 Posted 30/06/2026 at 04:37:22
And pens it is.
131 Posted 30/06/2026 at 04:39:06
Morocco do not deserve to lose on pens; the Dutch do
132 Posted 30/06/2026 at 04:40:26
Keoman gets the. boot on this display/set up if they lose
133 Posted 30/06/2026 at 04:40:49
Correct. Ibra and Henry absolutely shredding Koeman for the way he set up the Dutch and the way he had them play. I would love to see him walk off, embarrassed.
134 Posted 30/06/2026 at 04:45:35
Ha ha, looking at the keeper instead of the ball

145 Posted 30/06/2026 at 04:57:59
Cloghoppers and sausage munchers in one day at the '32.
Weghorst has been crying for ages. Big baby.
146 Posted 30/06/2026 at 05:39:03
It's not exactly a vintage Germany in fairness so comes as little surprise.
The likes of Wirtz and Havertz would struggle to anywhere near the squad of 25 years ago.
147 Posted 30/06/2026 at 07:54:42
Looks like Ronald Koeman may be available later today. Anybody?
148 Posted 30/06/2026 at 08:32:35
Andrew @ 147; I bet Niasse is laughing his head off at the tulip munching red and white Christmas tree decorating, last to arrive first to leave golfing twat.
And it's also good to see two 'smaller' teams running the big boys ragged going forward with skill, pace, intensity, passes that found the right coloured shirt or the dangerous space.
It's no use me asking Moyes to learn from that, he couldn't do it for a bet.
Yesterday's Man for Today's stability.
149 Posted 30/06/2026 at 09:20:11
Koeman, the Edam headed tosser
150 Posted 30/06/2026 at 09:52:09
Made up Netherlands are out, hate that Van Dyke, and the rest of the red shite who play for them, never watched it, can't stand watching that horrible Virgil the untouchable
151 Posted 30/06/2026 at 12:35:17
If the refs had been goalkeeper friendly as they was for protecting the goalkeeper for Germany dissalowed goal how many more points would we have received last season?
152 Posted 30/06/2026 at 15:17:34
Seems St Virgil of the Knee was a designated penalty taker pre match but bottled it when the time came.
153 Posted 30/06/2026 at 15:50:10
Any chance of day 20 in the World Cup Michael?
