Summary: Of the true freshman pickups in 2026, Ballart is one to get excited about. The two way player in high school (LB/RB) has good speed, good strength, and has been classified and stamped by the staff as a "high motor" guy through and through.
The Aurora, IN native was a Top 25 player in the state, and proved his heat seeking missile style of play was one that garnered results, with nearly forty tackles for loss during his high school career. Ballart will be a depth piece in 2026 without question mostly due to the talent ahead of him, but rather than think about losing a guy like Brady due to lack of playing time early, I tend to lean towards the positive of him getting to take reps daily behind guys who are all-conference caliber players, and likely will be taking some snaps professionally after they leave Louisville. If we see Brady this year it likely means were beating up on someone pretty good, so here's hoping we see him every game. Another item of note for a high motor, hit first and ask questions later, type player is his ability to quickly adapt to special teams and become a weapon early.
