The Colts made the right choice look easy
Sometimes life's easiest choices are made a lot more complicated. The obvious is right in front of us, but overthinking sets in. The Indianapolis Colts were faced with the decision of whether to keep their franchise rushing leader who carried the team at times and proved he has plenty left in the tank due to a stellar 2025 season. Seems easy, right? Well, the Colts didn't overcomplicate things and kept this season trending in the right direction.
Jonathan Taylor isn't going anywhere. The freshly signed two-year extension worth $44 million means the Colts are going to get everything Taylor's got. If he stays healthy, that could be a lot. After truly breaking out in 2021, it appeared Taylor might have lost his edge. Injuries started to pile up and missed games meant missed opportunities. Some players never recover from that type of dip. Fortunately, Taylor caught his second wind.
