The Lakers have hired a new analyst for road games

This season is the start of a new era for the Los Angeles Lakers, in more ways than one. With LeBron James gone, it is now unquestionably Luka Doncic's team, and he is surrounded by a new cast that includes nine new players and a deeper supporting cast than the team has had in several years.

The Lakers will also have a new voice and personality behind the microphone at home games, as Derrin Horton, a former anchor in the Los Angeles media market, has been named their public address announcer. He is replacing the legendary Lawrence Tanter, who passed away last week and had been their PA announcer going back to the early 1980s.
