The Lakers have released an official franchise history book

There are plenty of books that have been written about the history of the Los Angeles Lakers, or at least portions of their history. But now, the franchise itself has released an official, authorized book about its entire history.

The Lakers have teamed up with book publisher TASCHEN to put together "Lakers: An Official History of the Purple & Gold," which features 528 pages and goes over the illustrious history of the team. In addition to large, full-color photos, it will reportedly feature essays from Magic Johnson, Michael Cooper, Shaquille O'Neal, Pau Gasol, LeBron James, Luka Doncic, Pat Riley, Claire Rothman and Linda Rambis, as well as superfans such as Dyan Cannon, Flea from the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jack Nicholson, Lou Adler and Ray Nicholson.
