Three Keys for Michigan State to Upset Notre Dame
Michigan State and first-year coach Pat Fitzgerald face a steep challenge if they want to beat third-ranked Notre Dame, but they can still pull it off if they fix what they can control. Both teams are 2-0, and kickoff in South Bend is 7:30 p.m. ET Saturday on NBC.
Something the Spartans have struggled with this season is scoring touchdowns on drives that get into opponents' territory. Against Toledo, MSU got only two touchdowns despite finishing drives on the Rockets' side of the field nine times. The Spartans had to settle for six field goal attempts instead of getting into the end zone.
