At least three people, including an eight-year-old boy, have been killed in a Russian attack on a petrol station in south-eastern Ukraine, local authorities said on Monday.

Another six people aged 20 to 60 were injured in the attack in the Kryvyi Rih area, Oleksandr Hanzha, military administrator of the Dnipropetrovsk region, said on Telegram.

The official said a fire had broken out at the site. He published a photo showing a severely damaged petrol station and an emergency worker trying to put out a burned out car.

Russia has repeatedly attacked Ukrainian petrol stations in recent weeks, after Ukraine ramped up strikes on Russian oil facilities in a bid to disrupt supplies to Russian forces at the front line and reduce revenue used to fund the war.
