Trevor Lawrence, Brian Thomas connection growing during Jaguars OTAs
Among the items on Trevor Lawrence's offseason to-do list is continuing to build chemistry with each of the Jacksonville Jaguars' wide receivers within the Liam Coen offense, especially Brian Thomas Jr.
As John Oehser of Jaguars.com noted in his OTAs recap, Lawerence and Thomas are off to a strong start in that regard, connecting "multiple times" during Tuesday's practice, which included a deep touchdown pass.

"We've put a lot of work in all spring just trying to get the timing down – the chemistry, all those things, get on the same page – and it's starting to pay off," Lawrence said, via Jaguars.com. "It doesn't always happen immediately. Sometimes it takes a little time. But he's super committed to it and so am I and I think us getting those extra reps is paying off."
After recording nearly 1,300 yards in 2024 as a rookie, Thomas Jr. totaled only 707 yards this past season. This included dealing with dropped passes and catching just 49% of the passes thrown his way.
Thomas Jr. returning to form would do wonders for the Jaguars' offense. Besides the added production he would bring and the big play potential, his presence can garner the attention of opposing defenders, helping to create opportunities for other Jaguars' pass-catchers.
"We have a lot more time," Lawrence said. "We have four more weeks of OTAs, then we also have the break in the summer until training camp – so many reps that we can get from now until then to get us ready for the season. I have no doubt we're going to be ready to go. He is going to have a great year. He is a special player and just excited that I feel like we're clicking more and more every day."
