Trump declares ceasefire with Iran has ended

U.S. and Iranian forces exchanged overnight attacks for a second straight day, hours after President Donald Trump said he thought the ceasefire between Washington and Tehran was “over.”

American forces struck about 90 Iranian targets “to further degrade [Iran’s] ability to threaten freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz,” according to statements from U.S. Central Command, which oversees military operations in the region. Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said it responded by launching drones and missiles at U.S. bases in Kuwait and Bahrain.
