UFC Oklahoma City weigh-in results: DDP, Usman set, but two heavy

Official weigh-ins for UFC Fight Night 281 are in the books, and a pair of fighters came in over their limits.

In the main event, former middleweight champion Dricus Du Plessis (23-3 MMA, 9-1 UFC) takes on ex-welterweight champ Kamaru Usman (21-4 MMA, 16-3 UFC) at 185 pounds. They were among the first to the scale. DDP was 185.5; Usman was at the non-title limit of 186.

In the co-feature, Jared Cannonier (18-9 MMA, 11-9 UFC) and Christian Leroy Duncan (14-2 MMA, 7-2 UFC) had no issues for their middleweight bout. Ex-title challenger Cannonier was on championship weight at 185, while CLD was 185.5.

Two fighters missed their marks, though. Chase Hooper (16-5-1 MMA, 8-5 UFC), who is trying to snap a two-fight skid at lightweight, was 1.5 pounds heavy for his bout against Mitch Ramirez (8-3 MMA, 0-2 UFC), who hit the mark at 155.5. The fight will continue, and Hooper will lose 20 percent of his purse for the first time in his UFC career.

And in the curtain jerker on the prelims, a fight that was added just this week, Ezra Elliott (7-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC) was off by 1.5 pounds at featherweight for his promotional debut against Damien Anderson (5-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC), who hit the number at 146. Elliott will forfeit 20 percent of his purse, as well.

The weigh-ins took place at the UFC host hotel in Oklahoma City. The nearby Paycom Center hosts Saturday's event (Paramount+).
