UH’s Turban, Hazan earn academic honors

Hawaii women's track and field athlete Lilian Turban and men's volleyball middle blocker Ofeck Hazan have been named the school's Female and Male Scholar-Athletes of the Year by the Big West Conference.

Turban, a graduate student from Tallinn, Estonia, carried a 3.99 cumulative GPA while double majoring in psychology and communications with a minor in Spanish.
