US forces launch strikes against Iran

US Central Command says its forces began the strikes against Iran at 8pm ET on Wednesday (00:00 GMT). In a statement on X, CENTCOM said that the strikes were a “powerful response to attempted attacks” against US forces based in the Middle East the previous day.
