The Peach State features some of the sweetest athletes in the history of college sports. Georgia and Georgia Tech dominate the scene as the top two of the six institutions that compete in Division I. And it's unsurprising that the Bulldogs and Yellow Jackets dominate the conversation when considering the best 10 players in state history.

Georgia features numerous football stars, including two Heisman Trophy winners. Georgia Tech – a school where John Heisman coached – has some elite gridiron standouts and baseball players that dominated the diamond. Those two sports occupy most of the spots on our list, but there are others from some elite performers in Olympic sports.
