The USC Trojans hosted the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns in their third game of the 2026 season, winning 49-30. USC continued to make its way through the cupcake portion of its schedule, two weeks before the season-defining September 26 game against Oregon. USC did not make real progress in shaking off rough edges, becoming more disciplined, and working toward a state of more complete preparedness for Oregon.

Jayden Maiava could be seen stretching his right (throwing) arm in the second quarter. His shoulder got hurt last week against Fresno State, and it's clear he is not physically comfortable.
