Value of Things: By the numbers

With a week of football in the books, we can begin to tackle what we currently are seeing in this year of football. On a long enough timeline, the survival rate drops to zero. Every year of football stands on its own and one of the biggest mistakes people make is that they assume because things happened a certain way last year that they will happen the same way this year. of course, that is both positive and negative as we will find out. So, these numbers will build and will begin to make more sense as the season goes along.

What we do here is take some basic rankings from both teams and evaluate how each team is going to try to maximize those to win the game. Additionally, we are going to track something this year as an alarming trend that has been going on for several seasons now. Yes, each year does stand on its own, but we do see some distinct patterns that pop up.
