Vincent Kompany offers Jamal Musiala update

After twice collapsing during pre-season because of a neurological dysfunction, and thus missing Bayern Munich's Franz Beckenbauer Supercup victory over Borussia Dortmund and the Bundesliga's curtain-raiser against VfB Stuttgart, Jamal Musiala made his first appearance of 2026/27 with a 33-minute cameo against Schalke 04 on Matchday 2.

Speaking ahead of Bayern's UEFA Champions League clash against Bodo/Glimt on Thursday night, Vincent Kompany gave an update on the player's fitness. "Jamal has played a few minutes now," explained the Belgian (h/t iMiaSanMia). "But he's still in a build-up phase.
