Too many athletes have played a varsity sport at Woodmore since 2000 to remember them all.

Some, of course, were more memorable than others. Who do you remember first for the Wildcats in the last 26 years?

High school basketball boys Jake Meisler changed, helped maintain boys basketball at Margaretta

Evan Ulinski, who graduated in 2014, is the only wrestler in school history to qualify for the state tournament four times. He placed second twice and fourth once. He established program records with 184 wins for his career and 51 in a season. He notched 117 pins in his career, including 37 in one season. He won four league crowns in the Northern Buckeye Conference. He was honorable mention all-state as a receiver for football as a senior. He caught 63 passes. He also played baseball. He continued his wrestling career at Air Force.

Emily Pendleton, who graduated in 2007, was the first Ohio athlete to win the same event four times at the state track tourney. She won four state crowns in the discus. She was Gatorade national athlete of the year for girls track as a senior. She holds the state record for any division at 183-3 for the discus. She was second in the shot put at state as a senior and fourth as a junior. She also played volleyball. She continued her career at Michigan.

Catie Lavigne, who graduated in 2002, was first-team in the Suburban Lakes League for basketball as a senior. She dropped in the game-winning bucket to advance to regional. She had 19 assists in one game. She qualified to the state track meet four years, including a second-place finish on the 4x400 relay as a junior.

Olivia Vogelpohl, who graduated in 2024, helped a 4x400 relay finish second and a 4x800 finish fifth at state as part of an overall team championship. She also ran cross country.

Maddie Phillips, who graduated in 2014, was pitcher of year in the Northern Buckeye Conference as a senior and sophomore. She was first-team all-state as a senior. She tossed four perfect games. She also played volleyball. She continued her softball career at Urbana.

Tyler Rosenberger, who graduated in 2005, was Suburban Lakes League player of the year for basketball as a senior and junior. He was first-team all-league as a sophomore. He finished with 1,309 points and 227 steals. He was first-team all-conference at quarterback for football as a senior and part of the program record 4x400 relay for track. He continued his basketball career at Ashland.

Brooke Allen, who graduated in 2021, established program records in basketball, volleyball and softball. She shared player of the year honor in the Northern Buckeye Conference for basketball as a senior. She finished with a program high 1,209 points. She has the most kills and aces in a career for volleyball. She hit the most home runs in a season and career for softball. She continued her basketball career at Ohio Northern.

Azure Travis, who graduated in 2024, won consecutive state championships in both hurdle events. She helped a 4x400 relay finish second at state as part of an Ohio team championship as a junior. She holds the program record in all three events. She was seventh in the 100 and 200 as a senior. She also played soccer. She continued her track career at Marshall.

Landon Rich, who graduated in 2026, finished his career with program records for rushing yards (4,788) and touchdowns (53) on the ground. He set single-season marks with 1,993 yards and 32 touchdowns rushing as a senior. He established single-game records with 465 yards and seven touchdowns, on 35 carries against Northwood. He qualified for state for wrestling at 165 pounds. He was part of a fifth-place 4x100 relay at state as a senior and qualified in the 100 as a junior. He continued his football career at Baldwin-Wallace.

Ava Beam, who graduated in 2021, was athlete of the year in the Northern Buckeye Conference for track and finished third at state in the 3,200. She qualified to state three years, with the pandemic eliminating any chance as a junior. She also played basketball. She continued her track career at Findlay.
