Waverly football cruises past Norwich in Thursday night matchup

NORWICH, N.Y. (WETM) - Waverly football earned a dominant win in an early weekend matchup.
The Wolverines rolled past Norwich on the road 48-14, in a special Thursday night game. Waverly quarterback Cooper Chrystie led a strong ground game and battered his old team with 4, first half rushing touchdowns. The sophomore signal caller's monster performance helped Waverly to a 28-6 advantage at the half, before Rylen Larson, Rhylee Stotler, and Brody Lambert tacked on additional scores. The Purple Tornado prevented a shutout with touchdowns from Bo Brown and Bryce Wellington.
