West Lyon baseball clinches state tournament berth

SHELDON, IA (KELO) — West Lyon baseball clinched its spot in the Iowa 2A state tournament on Tuesday night with a 4-3 win over Hinton.

The Wildcats battled their way out of two separate bases loaded situations in the opening two innings, thanks in large part to Bryce Kock coming in for early relief in the second. West Lyon staved off a late Blackhawks comeback in the seventh, cutting off Hinton's tying run at second to end the game.
