When does 2026 MLB Draft start?

The 2026 MLB Draft is only hours away. We'll soon know the fate of UCLA shortstop Roch Cholowsky, Texas high school shortstop Grady Emerson, Georgia Tech catcher Vahn Lackey and other exciting prospects.

The Chicago White Sox are picking first overall amid their resurgent season. Vice president of amateur scouting Mike Shirley told ESPN it's a three-horse race for the top pick between Cholowsky, Emerson and Lackey. All three are franchise-changing talents, so Chicago can do no wrong there.
