Rivals recently updated its top-150 player rankings for boys basketball in the class of 2027, marking the sixth update for the class. Updates are based on in-person player evaluation, film study and intel, per the service.

Chase Branham, Indiana men’s basketball’s lone committed player in the class as of this writing, rose slightly. He remains a 4-star prospect by Rivals’ rating, but now ranks as the 7th highest-rated shooting guard and 42nd highest-rated prospect in the class. He previously ranked in as the 9th highest-rated shooting guard and 47th highest-rated prospect in the class.

For comparison’s sake, Branham ranks in as the 4th highest-rated combo guard and 23rd highest-rated prospect overall by 247Sports. The Rivals Industry Ranking, which compiles ratings by Rivals itself, 247Sports and ESPN, rates Branham as a 4-star and ranks him as the 5th highest-rated player at his position and 28th highest-rated player overall.

Branham recently announced a transfer to La Lumiere School in La Porte, Indiana, where he’ll spend his senior year ahead of joining the Hoosiers in 2027-28.
